The artists
David Wojnarowicz
Groundbreaking American artist, writer, and activist whose work confronted the AIDS crisis and gave voice to marginalized queer communities.

David Wojnarowicz was a groundbreaking American artist, writer, and activist whose work confronted injustice, government neglect, and the realities of the AIDS crisis. Through photography, painting, film, and text, he gave voice to marginalized communities — particularly queer individuals — and challenged systems that silenced them. His advocacy centered on visibility, truth-telling, and resistance, making his work both deeply personal and politically urgent.
Adam's Nest's collaboration with the David Wojnarowicz Foundation and PPOW Gallery has produced multiple official tees: Burning House (released for what would have been his 70th birthday), Rimbaud in New York (tied to the Leslie-Lohman Museum's 2025 exhibition), and Fuck You Faggot Fucker (Summer 2026).
